You type what your character does. /me pulls the shutter down and locks it, /do the lock clicks. No microphone, so you can play any character you can write. Phones, tweets, classifieds and faction radios are all in character.

Factions
Ten of them, from the LSPD and the FBI to the courts, transport and the press, each with ranks, wages and a job to do. Police work goes past cuffs: fingerprints, DNA, warrants, a criminal code with real charges, courts with trials, and a prison you actually sit in.

Families
Start one or join one. A crew goes from an unofficial gang to an official slot with territory, a treasury and a HQ. Hold a materials factory or a drug house and it pays the family. Drugs and guns have real consequences.

Jobs and property
Ten civilian jobs at City Hall, companies you register and staff you hire. Property to buy or rent, furnish and defend, with safes you place yourself. Every character gets an hourly paycheck for being in the city, bigger with level.

The economy
A city treasury: taxes fund the faction budgets, and the President the city elects sets the income tax. Banks you can rob and banks you can own, loans, ATMs and wire transfers. Clean cash and dirty cash are separate, and dirty money goes through a bank counter a little at a time.

The city
More than 90 custom interiors with the doors open and 648 houses you can walk into. A casino floor with slots, blackjack, roulette, poker and the lucky wheel, a lottery, staff-run events, paintball and a festival, and 14 billboards you rent from your phone.

Install FiveM on a PC with a legal copy of GTA V.

Your account
The control panel
This works once the server opens. Sign in with Discord and you get a short code. In the city, press T and type /ucp followed by the code. That links your game account, and you only do it once. After that you can see every character on your account: cash and bank, job, faction and rank, family, play time, licenses and vehicles. Warnings and bans are there too, with a way to appeal them.
